OBC, DC-DC, Electric Drive
Application Description
On-Board Charger (OBC) is an AC/DC converter installed inside a car that allows low-power charging of the car's battery from an electrical outlet in your home or garage. The power ranges of OBC from 3kW to more than 20kW, but due to the power limitations of the home power outlet, the OBC power of the general EV does not exceed 7kW.
At present, the mainstream OBC design in the market adopts two-stage converter, the front stage often adopts staggered totem pole PFC, which is a two-way AC/DC and DC/AC converter, and the rear stage adopts CLLC, which is also a two-way converter, using SJ MOS for secondary rectification on the secondary side. Such a bidirectional OBC can both charge the EV battery pack and feed the battery's energy back to the AC grid.
After the electrification of vehicles, SJ MOSFET is a new device type in the automotive powertrain segment, which is mainly used in DC-DC power supplies and on-board chargers (OBC). In the powertrain part, the power of power-related power sources such as DC-DC, on-board chargers and inverters is increased by electric braking after the electrification of vehicles.
